The Grosses Moos, Switzerland's vegetable garden, is no longer what it once was. Due to natural processes, the peat is gradually disappearing and now only makes up about 15 percent of the soil. Some experts are pessimistic about the future of agriculture there. Others hope for technical solutions that will preserve the soils.
