Five years ago, Stefan Kündig acquired the Oberfringeli farm thanks to his father's right of first refusal and now manages it with his wife Birgit and their two daughters Anna (12) and Lara (15). His mother has suffered from multiple sclerosis for years. Their house on the Oberfringeli farm above Bärschwil, on the border between the cantons of Solothurn and Jura, was built in the 1970s. Since then, little has been done to it. With consequences: As with many houses from that era, the insulation leaves much to be desired. The wind blows through the windows and garage door throughout the entire house. Snow even regularly fell through a balcony door into the living room. The "BaZ hilft" foundation helps people in financial need. The aid benefits individuals and families in northwestern Switzerland. These are people who have been affected by misfortune, illness, poverty, unemployment, often in seemingly hopeless situations.
