Two parents from Waltalingen received a 4,000-franc fine from the governor because their mother and daughter left for vacation a day early. The school board rejected their request for an additional vacation day (vacation extension) in a decision dated April 13, 2011, and filed a complaint with the governor. The Schaffhauser Nachrichten was the first to report the case.
