Yvain Genevay

The Lausanne Printing Center, CIL, opened in 1989. At the time, it was the largest and most modern in Switzerland. It was on these presses, running day and night, that thousands of my images came to life. The enormous Wifag Evolution 371 printed its last pages this Monday, March 17, a victim of declining newspaper circulation and industry restructuring.

Yvain Genevay est un photographe suisse basé à Lausanne. Il travaille principalement comme reporter et portraitiste pour la presse quotidienne et hebdomadaire. En 2000, il a rejoint les rédactions du Matin et du Matin Dimanche comme photographe permanent. En 2015, il reçoit le Swiss Press Award 15 "Photographer of the Year" pour un reportage sur une famille de réfugiés syriens. Depuis 2018, il est photographe permanent pour la rédaction du Matin Dimanche.
