In 2009, a wolf killed several dozen sheep in Entlebuch, leaving a scene of devastation in its wake. In 2010, 20 livestock guardian dogs were deployed in Central Switzerland – a measure that was met with great skepticism by farmers. After the first month, the owners of the livestock guardian dogs and the farmers themselves reported on their experiences. The first part focuses on the work and interaction with the dogs, while the second part focuses on the farmers' largely positive experiences.
