The commission came from the Appenzeller Zeitung newspaper. They wanted to share in the travels of local artists. They hoped to gain a glimpse into places of inspiration, relaxation, and their encounters. In addition to my daily studio work, I've been experimenting with a new form of photography. This distinctive visual language paints a different picture of Tuscany as it is commonly perceived. The sometimes gloomy images are intended to capture the mood that is spreading in this economic situation and is depressing people—in whatever way possible.
