June 7, 2011 AIGLE Francois Wider, nicknamed Vidocq in memory of the series with Claude Brasseur, lives in Leysin. He walked down in an hour and a half from the mountain resort to pick up his river fishing license at the Aigle prefecture. The weather is nice but not too hot, and our hiker is looking forward to fishing for trout. He poses with his self-decorated pole. There are hundreds of small souvenirs attached to it, including a Che Guevara badge, a stuffed bee, a tiny ashtray at its top, and most importantly, a plastic mermaid.... Photo: Patrick Martin
