LUCERNE Lucerne farmers are struggling with the heat: Pigs need showers and potatoes need sorting. The canton has already imposed a water ban. This sow is enjoying it: Every day, she and her fellow sows on farmer Kurt Helfenstein's farm in Sempach receive a refreshing shower. For some cows, however, water and feed supplies are becoming increasingly scarce.
