Bushmeat is meat from wildlife species that are hunted for human consumption. It represents a primary source of animal protein and a cash-earning commodity in poor and rural communities of humid tropical forest regions. The reportage deals also with the issue of illegal hunting and bushmeat sales on markets in Congo, but also about human health due to transfers of viruses from animals to humans.
