Lockdown

The lockdown has radically changed our everyday lives. I experienced the situation in very contradictory ways. On the one hand, it was oppressive, with the social distancing rules, the closed border, and the eerie virus; on the other, it was liberating, with the break from the daily grind, the pleasant spring weather, the peace and quiet, and the open space in the city. I explored these ambivalent feelings with my camera.

Geboren 1969 in Schaffhausen, nach der Matura Aufenthalt in Grossbritannien (Documentary Photography - Kurs an der School of Art and Design in Newport, Wales). Seit 1994 freischaffender Fotograf. Zuerst in Schaffhausen und seit 2000 in Zürich. Vor allem Porträts und Reportagen, auch Architektur. Oft Themen im Sozialbereich.
