Pedro Altamirano stands in his kitchen in Wädenswil, frying corn tortillas and cutting cheese into small cubes. The cheerful Mexican prepares quesadillas, cheese tortillas filled with guacamole. Eight months ago, he left Mexico for Wädenswil with his Swiss wife, Maja Schnellmann, and their three children. As part of the "Culinary World Tour" project (see box), the 55-year-old is now whisking interested parties back to his homeland for an evening. His tools: typical Mexican dishes, his own guitar playing, and atmospheric images.
