Peter Hans Kneubühl became known as the "Amok Pensioner" of Biel in 2010. Declared incapable of criminal responsibility by the court, he was sentenced to inpatient treatment. In 2017, he went on hunger strike twice. A conversation with Kneubühl revealed that he was being treated with psychotropic drugs to break the hunger strike.
