This two-part documentary takes place in the Polish city of Oświęcim and the former Nazi extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau within the city limits. On the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, it searches for the present in the past and for the Polish perspective. It shows how difficult remembering the Holocaust still is today and why, precisely for that reason, it remains essential for all of us.
