My grandmother lost her home in 1945 when she had to flee Nordenburg. This loss shaped her life, as did her long-standing friendship with Jadwiga in Wesołowo. On my journey through Europe, I visited Jadwiga and photographed the traces my grandmother had left there and in my memories. A report on flight, home, and friendship.
