In early 2022, Switzerland discovered the Omicron variant, which is leading to large numbers of patients being hospitalized. The number of Covid patients is high. However, our survey shows that 45.95% of so-called Covid+ patients were admitted to HUG for another reason and subsequently tested positive. Following this publication, the FOPH changed its method of counting Covid patients.
