En Avril 2021, l'armée suisse a procédé à des tests d'hélitreuillage de chevaux au moyen d’hélicoptère. Un projet scientifique, mené par la faculté de médecine vétérinaire Vetsuisse et le service vétérinaire de l'armée suisse visant à transporter et évacuer rapidement les chevaux blessés vers une infrastructure médicale vétérinaire.
