The fresco includes illustration of two of Chaplin’s movies ’Modern Times’ and ’The Gold Rush’. Chaplin lived in Switzerland for 26 years and died in his sleep in Corsier-sur-Vevey on Christmas Day 1977. The images of the cinematic giant used some 1,000kg of paint, 50 brushes and 100 rollers, with a team of six mural painters directed by French artist Franck Bouroullec, perched on the scaffolding.
