It takes two days and two nights to reach Moscow from Sofia by train. At the Romanian village of Vadul Siret, near the Ukraine, a whole team of workers is ready for the gauge change; here, the gauge gets 85 millimeters wider, Eastern-style. The complex operation allows for the passengers to stay on the same train.
