The Santa Clauses of the St. Nikolaus Society Zürich don’t just visit children during the Advent season, but criminals too. On 3rd December 2018, they march into the Pöschwies prison. Once inside, Santa doesn’t read the convicts the riot act, although he might have every reason to. Instead he tells a conventional story, hands out traditional baked goods and is received with amazing warmth as well as respect.
